The Build Story
The Mercedes A45 AMG was a pocket rocket project — at the time of release, it had the most powerful production 4-cylinder engine in the world. The hand-built M133 2.0L turbo producing 381 hp in a compact hot hatch package made it an exciting salvage find.
Mat bought a damaged A45 AMG and documented the full rebuild, including various love-or-hate modifications along the way. The combination of AMG power, 4MATIC all-wheel drive and compact dimensions made it a blast to drive once completed.
