The Build Story
Mat bought what he described as the cheapest Audi RS5 in the UK — a wrecked B8 example with the glorious 4.2-litre high-revving naturally aspirated V8 producing 450 hp. The car was intended as a rebuild project for his girlfriend.
The 8-part series documented the full restoration, from assessing the damage through to fitting an aftermarket exhaust and getting the RS5 back on the road. The combination of Quattro AWD and that screaming V8 made the finished car a properly quick machine.
