The Build Story
The BMW F82 M4 Competition is one of the great M cars — a 3.0L S55 twin-turbo inline-six producing 450 hp and 406 lb-ft through the rear wheels. Mat bought a wrecked example from salvage and documented the process of getting it road-legal again.
The project involved repairing crash damage, sourcing M4-specific components and navigating the MOT process. The finished car was a properly quick rear-wheel-drive coupe with that trademark S55 straight-six soundtrack.
