The Build Story
Mat bought a stolen and heavily stripped 2017 BMW M140i at auction for just £8,500. The car had fewer than 27,000 miles but had been gutted — missing body panels, headlights, exhaust and interior trim. The turbocharged 3.0L B58 engine remained intact.
The rebuild went far beyond restoration. Mat fitted M2 front fascia, a hybrid turbo, limited-slip differential, custom quad exhaust from Jacques Fab and Performance, Bola wheels, a full body wrap and complete interior restoration. The finished car produced 533 hp and 470 lb-ft — more powerful than an M3 Competition. It was ultimately raffled off, with the winner getting it for just £9.95.
