The Build Story
The Mercedes-AMG C63 W205 is the twin-turbo successor to the legendary naturally aspirated W204 C63. With 476 hp from the hand-built 4.0L M177 twin-turbo V8, it's a serious performance saloon. Mat bought a wrecked example from salvage and took on the rebuild.
Like the W204 before it, sourcing AMG parts proved expensive. The modern C63's additional complexity — with its turbocharging, advanced electronics and safety systems — made the rebuild more challenging than the older naturally aspirated model.
