Mat bought a wrecked Audi RS6 C7 Avant from auction with front driver's-side damage but a running engine. The car already had aftermarket modifications including a Motec exhaust and K&N air filter. He challenged himself to rebuild it in 24 hours and ship it to the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The rebuild was plagued by setbacks: a faulty starter motor that required multiple secondhand replacements, a gear cable that left the car stuck in park (fixed with parts from a breaker's yard), and coolant leaks from improperly positioned hose clips. Before shipping to the US, Audi technicians identified a critical safety issue — the turbo oil strainer was too thin and prone to clogging, which could cause engine failure. Mat replaced it himself to avoid delaying the SEMA timeline.
