The Build Story
Mat took on a crash-damaged Ferrari F430 — the mid-engine V8 Ferrari with the iconic naturally aspirated 4.3L engine producing 490 hp. The rebuild pushed his skills further than ever, particularly the gearbox reassembly which had to be done without any instruction manuals.
The project battled persistent issues: coolant system airlocks, engine misfires, oil leaks from the rocker cover, a faulty thermostat and even stubborn window regulators. A Capristo exhaust system was fitted to give the F430 an even more dramatic soundtrack. Mat's father Tony was heavily involved throughout the build, with viewers appreciating the father-son dynamic. The full-build compilation video hit nearly 12 million views — one of the most watched on the channel.
