The Build Story
Mat purchased a 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS from Copart that had been fully submerged in a river after the driver lost control on its very first day of ownership. The water exposure destroyed the engine block with severe rust buildup, making it unfixable.
The rebuild required purchasing a separate damaged GT3 RS shell as a donor, then completely rebuilding the engine from scratch without any manual. Over 4 months of painstaking work, Mat transferred and restored components between the two cars. The first engine start attempt video became one of his most-watched ever, garnering 8.2 million views. Mat then prepared the car for an official Porsche inspection to validate his work.
