Mat purchased a wrecked Lamborghini Revuelto and attempted what no one had done before — the first-ever Revuelto rebuild. The £600,000 hybrid hypercar combines a 6.5L V12 with three electric motors for 1,015 hp, making it one of the most complex cars Mat has ever worked on.
The rebuild required purchasing an entirely new hybrid battery, but even Lamborghini technicians couldn't properly code it to the vehicle at first. Lamborghini Italy eventually provided the crash code, but only through an official dealership. Despite random faults — limp mode, buggy wipers, button malfunctions and GPS failures — Mat drove the Revuelto 2,053 miles from the UK to Southern Italy, even testing it on a track in Pisa where a rear brake disc cracked.
